Help me fundraise in support of NYC children in foster care
I am so excited to run the 2026 TCS New York City Marathon in support of Culture for One, a nonprofit that brings the power of the arts to NYC children in foster care.
This past fall, I celebrated 10 years of living in New York City and working in the performing arts. I’m thrilled to mark my official status as a New Yorker by taking part in one of the city’s great traditions, and I’m especially proud to be running with Culture for One, an organization that reflects many of the values that have defined my decade here.
In my work at Lincoln Center, our mission is centered on the transformative power of the performing arts and on making those experiences as accessible as possible. Culture for One embodies that same spirit through its programming and its commitment to empowering youth through access to the arts.
If you know me, you know that I grew up surrounded by music and theater: jazz band, choir, school plays, and family trips to see Broadway musicals. Those experiences helped shape me, my sense of community, and many of the skills and values I carry with me today. I’m grateful to be running in support of an organization that helps young people across the city access the same inspiration, confidence, and sense of possibility that the arts gave me.
For those curious about my marathon training, I’ll officially begin a 21-week program in mid-June. Until then, I’m running about three times a week to build stamina and improve my speed. I ran my first marathon in Philadelphia this past November, and I’m eager to put what I learned to good use this time around… hopefully with a lot less chafing. I’ll be sharing training updates with my donors along the way, and you can also follow my progress on Strava.
